This Privacy Policy explains how Pedro Montero, doing business as Guitar Lessons in Homestead (“Guitar Lessons in Homestead,” “I,” “me,” or “my”), collects, uses, protects, and shares personal information. Guitar Lessons in Homestead is a private music-instruction business located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. I provide guitar, bass, and drum lessons to children and adults. I may also organize student bands, rehearsals, recitals, live performances, and related educational events.By using this website, submitting a contact or registration form, scheduling lessons, or otherwise providing personal information, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information I Collect Depending on how you interact with Guitar Lessons in Homestead, I may collect:

  • Parent or legal guardian’s name and relationship to the student
  • Email address
  • Telephone or mobile number
  • Emergency contact information
  • Preferred instrument, lesson schedule, experience level, and musical goals
  • Attendance, scheduling, progress, and lesson-related information

Guitar Lessons in Homestead provides lessons to children as well as adults. Registration forms for students under 18 should be completed by a parent or legal guardian. Children under 13 should not submit personal information directly through this website. A parent or legal guardian should provide the information needed to inquire about or register the child for lessons.

Parents and legal guardians may contact me to:

4. Scheduling and Communication Services

I use Acuity Scheduling to manage appointments and lesson availability. Information entered through Acuity Scheduling may be processed and stored by Acuity or its service provider under its own privacy practices.

I use Gmail and other Google services for email, communication, website functionality, spam protection, reviews, and my Google Business Profile. Information transmitted through those services may also be processed by Google under its privacy policies. The website may use Nicepage or other website-hosting and form-processing services. It may also use Google reCAPTCHA and similar security tools to protect forms from spam and abuse. These service providers may process information only as needed to provide their respective scheduling, communication, website, security, or technical services.

5. Payments

I may accept payment through:

  • Zelle
  • Cash App
  • Cash
  • Personal check

Zelle, Cash App, financial institutions, and other payment providers process transactions according to their own terms and privacy policies. I do not receive or store a customer’s complete bank-account or payment-card credentials through this website. I may maintain transaction details reasonably necessary for receipts, accounting, payment disputes, and tax records.

6. Text Messages and Mobile Information

Text-message participation is optional and requires separate consent. If you choose to participate, Guitar Lessons in Homestead may send recurring automated text messages concerning lesson reminders, scheduling updates, cancellations, educational materials, recitals, workshops, and registered-student events. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing lessons or receiving services.

Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and text-message consent records will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be disclosed to service providers only as necessary to operate, deliver, secure, and support the messaging program. These providers are not authorized to use SMS consent information for their own marketing.

7. Photographs, Videos, and Student Media

I may photograph or record lessons, rehearsals, recitals, performances, and other music-related activities. Identifiable student photos or videos will be used for educational or promotional purposes only when the adult student or the student’s parent or legal guardian has provided permission.

  • The Guitar Lessons in Homestead website
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Google Business Profile, formerly known as Google Places
  • Other materials specifically identified in the applicable media release

Media permission is voluntary. Declining permission will not affect enrollment, lesson availability, or participation. A parent, guardian, or adult student may withdraw media permission for future use by contacting me. Withdrawal will apply prospectively and may not remove material that was previously published, printed, shared, reposted, or stored by third-party platforms. Student names will not be publicly associated with photos or videos unless separate permission has been obtained.

 8. When Information May Be Shared

I may share limited personal information:

  • With scheduling, website, email, messaging, payment, security, and technical service providers when necessary to operate the business
  • With event venues, instructors, or contractors when reasonably necessary to conduct an authorized lesson, rehearsal, recital, or performance
